2026年1月、アフリカ・マラウイにて、「Nsona Enterprises」「University of Lilongwe」および「NTTドコモビジネスエンジニアリング（株）」とともに、Social Innovators Forum Africa (SIFA) 2026を開催します。
3回目の実施となる今回は規模を大幅に拡大し、
・ビジネスピッチコンテスト
・各分野のエキスパートによるパネルディスカッション
・企業、大学のブース出展によるネットワーキング
を実施予定。
アフリカ最貧国ともいわれるマラウイですが、素晴らしいアイデアとパッションを持ち、ソーシャルビジネスを立ち上げていきたい！と考えている若者は多くいます。そうしたこれからの起業家を、資金・アイデア両面からサポートしていく取り組みとして、私たちは今後もSIFAを続けていきます。

開催の背景
世界は今、気候変動やエネルギー、食料、教育など、多岐にわたるグローバル課題への対応を加速させる必要に迫られています。なかでもマラウイは、気候変動の影響を最も受けている国の1つです。洪水や水不足といった状況は、農業をはじめとした産業基盤を脅かし、人々の生命を危険にさらす深刻な状況となっています。この現状に対して、多くの国際機関や諸外国が支援に乗り出しているものの、まだまだマラウイには気候変動以外にも教育やインフラなど、複合的な課題が山積しています。
こうした課題を抜本的に解決し、大きなインパクトを生み出すためには、民間企業や学術機関、そして国際NGOや政府機関など、幅広いステークホルダーが国を越えて連携することが重要だと考えます。従来の政府開発援助だけに頼るのではなく、民間企業が持つテクノロジーやイノベーションを積極的に活用、促進し、さらには国際NGOの豊富な現地ノウハウを組み合わせることで、支援の継続性と多面的な効果を高める必要があります。また、国家間の”競争”に陥るのではなく、”連携と共創”の精神に基づいた未来に向けたパートナーシップを構築することこそが、国際社会全体の持続的な発展を力強く後押しする手段となります。
そこで本カンファレンスでは、マラウイをはじめとする喫緊のグローバル課題に対し、政府機関、国連機関、民間企業、NGO、教育機関が一体となり、グローバルでクロスセクターの視点で議論を行う場を創出します。特に、若者、テクノロジー、イノベーションの活性化に注力し、各国の政策決定者や企業、NGOとの交流によって得られるネットワークや知見によって、様々なコラボレーションや新しいアイデアを生み出すきっかけを作ります。
課題が顕在化しているマラウイという地でフォーラムを開催することで、テクノロジー、人材、連携、お金が集まり、これからのグローバルな課題を解決していく活動モデルを生み出すプラットフォームとなることを目指しています。
相互協力の枠組みを広げ、真に持続可能で包摂的な未来をともに築くための第一歩として、ぜひ多くの皆さまにご参加いただきたいと考えています。
これまでの取り組み
SIFAのはじまりは、2024年11月に開催した「学生によるビジネスアイデアピッチコンテスト」です。2025年4月の第2回では、イベント名を「Social Innovators Forum Africa」と刷新し、学生によるピッチコンテストの他に、有識者によるパネルディスカッションと企業等によるブース出展を実施し、およそ100人の参加者を動員しました。
当日はUniversity of Lilongweを会場とし、日本大使館 大矢大使のオープニングスピーチに始まり、パネルディスカッションでは国連WFPや教育省高官、LUANAR教授に加え、大規模農場の経営者や国際的な賞を受賞した女性教師など幅広いパネリストに参加いただきました。
今回は、それに次ぐ3度目の開催となります。さらに多くのセクターや立場を超えたシナジーを生み出し、国際的なフォーラムとするため、リロングウェ市内ホテルの大規模会場での実施を想定し準備を進めています。
サポーター制度について
SIFA 2026では、新たな試みとして「個人サポーター」を募集します。
なぜ、私たちColorbathがビジネスカンファレンスを実施するのか。それは、私たち自身の活動が、教育・ビジネス・行政・芸術など、分野や立場を越えた多様なコラボレーションの中で育まれてきたからです。
また、代表の吉川をはじめとするスタッフ一同が、起業家精神をもって、社会貢献活動と事業化の両立に挑戦し続けてきたという背景もあります。現場で生まれる課題に向き合いながら、持続可能な形で価値を生み出すこと。その実践知を共有し、次の挑戦者へとつないでいく場として、SIFAを位置づけています。

In January 2026, we will hold the Social Innovators Forum Africa (SIFA) 2026 in Lilongwe, Malawi, Africa, in collaboration with Nsona Enterprises, the University of Lilongwe, and NTT DOCOMO Business Engineering.
Concept and Background
The world is now compelled to accelerate its response to a wide range of global challenges, including climate change, energy, food, and education. Among these, Malawi is one of the countries most severely impacted by climate change. Situations like flooding and water shortages threaten the industrial base, particularly agriculture, and pose a serious danger to people’s lives. While many international organizations and foreign countries have stepped in to provide support, Malawi still faces a mountain of complex challenges beyond climate change, including education and infrastructure.
To fundamentally solve these problems and create significant impact, it is crucial for a wide range of stakeholders—private companies, academic institutions, international NGOs, and government agencies—to collaborate across national borders. Rather than relying solely on traditional government development aid, we must actively leverage and promote the technology and innovation possessed by private companies, while also combining this with the extensive local expertise of international NGOs. This approach enhances the sustainability and multifaceted effectiveness of support. Furthermore, rather than falling into a state of “competition” between nations, building partnerships for the future based on the spirit of “collaboration and co-creation” is the means to powerfully advance the sustainable development of the entire international community.
Therefore, this conference creates a space for government agencies, UN bodies, private companies, NGOs, and educational institutions to unite and discuss pressing global challenges, including those in Malawi, from a global, cross-sectoral perspective. We will focus particularly on energizing youth, technology, and innovation. Through networking and insights gained from interactions with policymakers, companies, and NGOs from various countries, we aim to spark diverse collaborations and new ideas.
By holding the forum in Malawi, where these challenges are particularly evident, we aim to create a platform where technology, talent, partnerships, and funding converge to develop an action model for solving future global challenges.
We sincerely hope many of you will join us as a first step toward expanding the framework for mutual cooperation and building a truly sustainable and inclusive future together.
Past Initiatives
The inception of SIFA was the “Student Business Idea Pitch Contest” held in November 2024. For the second iteration in April 2025, the event was rebranded as the “Social Innovators Forum Africa.” In addition to the student pitch contest, it featured panel discussions with experts and booth exhibitions by companies and organizations, attracting approximately 100 participants.
Held at the University of Lilongwe, the event commenced with an opening speech by Ambassador Oya of the Japanese Embassy. The panel discussion featured a diverse range of participants, including representatives from the UN World Food Programme (WFP), senior officials from the Ministry of Education, LUANAR professors, a large-scale farm operator, and an internationally awarded female teacher.
This marks the third iteration of the event. To foster greater synergy across sectors and positions and establish it as an international forum, preparations are underway to hold the event in a large venue at a hotel in Lilongwe city.
Supporters Recruitment
SIFA 2026 will introduce a new initiative: recruiting “Individual Supporters.”
Why does Colorbath organize business conferences? Because our own activities have been nurtured through diverse collaborations that transcend fields and positions—spanning education, business, government, and the arts.
Additionally, our background includes the ongoing challenge undertaken by our representative, Yoshikawa, and the entire staff to balance social contribution activities with business development, driven by an entrepreneurial spirit. We position SIFA as a space to share the practical knowledge gained from confronting challenges on the ground while creating sustainable value, and to pass this knowledge on to the next generation of challengers.
Even in Malawi, facing harsh realities like infrastructure gaps and social disparities, we aim to further invigorate the “sowing of seeds” for the future. We sincerely ask for the support of individual supporters as companions who will walk this path with us and stand by us.
The supporter courses offer four tiers ranging from ¥3,000 to ¥30,000.
All support received will be used for SIFA’s operations and for nurturing and supporting young social entrepreneurs.
